Bridget McCarthy
Artist | Clinician | Educator
I’m a classically trained actor and devising artist based in Atlanta, GA, with roots in the Midwest and a deep love of movement, poetry, and ensemble work.

After earning my BA in Theatre from Hope College, I spent the first several years of my career working in classical rep—cutting my teeth on Shakespeare tours with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Pigeon Creek Shakespeare, and Atlanta Shakespeare Company. I’ve since worked with companies across the Southeast and Midwest, including Essential Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, North Georgia Shakespeare, Burning Bones Theatre, and Stage Door Theatre.

Whether I’m building a devised piece from the ground up or diving into a published script, my approach is rooted in ensemble, connection, and curiosity. I believe the body is one of our greatest storytelling tools—and I bring that embodied practice to both the rehearsal room and the classroom.
